Irwin Tjiong, L.Ac., MBA
TO HEAL IS TO LISTEN – WITH CARE AND INTENT.
As your acupuncturist, I will show you a variety of natural methods that will help you to pause - and listen carefully to what your body is telling you. I will diligently explain your signs and symptoms in the context of your own life so that you have choice in enhancing your health and well-being. Finally, we partner and agree on your health plan - including specific health goals and how to achieve these – and develop a time line that is right for you.
In doing so, I have consistently seen excellent clinical outcomes whenever my patients take charge of their own health.
Irwin Tjiong, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist
Having earned a Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at ACTCM San Francisco, Irwin is licensed to practice acupuncture as well as prescribe herbal medicine nationally as well as in the state of California. His specialties include pain management, sports injuries, insomnia, depression and digestive disorders. Irwin is also a certified massage therapist specializing in Tui Na massage.
TO HEAL IS TO EDUCATE – SIMPLY AND EFFICIENTLY.
Much of what I do involves speaking in a manner that resonates with my patients, in the context of their lives. Increased understanding of their own issues often translates to greater patient commitment to their health.
In each of our sessions, I will explain how Chinese medicine may benefit you - using simple and jargon-free words. Here are some of the methods I use:
Acupuncture - Among the oldest and safest healing practices in the world, acupuncture aims to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body.
Tui Na Therapeutic Massage - Tui na, often used in conjunction with acupuncture, is a hands-on body treatment to bring the body to balance.
Herbal Supplements - Herbology is one of the more important modalities utilized in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). I will provide you with customized herbal solutions - designed to optimize your health.
Movement & Flexibility - Tai chi, a globally practiced form of martial art, concentrates on relieving the physical effects of stress on the body and mind. I will teach you simple exercises that promote circulation of blood flow and relax your mind.
